Just got some great news, I've just be slelected to be a part of a playwrights residency titled Northpoint Inside Voices in Kentucky to take place in July of 2013. Pretty cool knowing what you're gonna be doing a year in advance.

It's been a pretty good week. Rehearsals are going well with "Undertow" and I just got invited to be part of a panel discussion of playwrights called "The Art of Feedback", looking forward to this and learning a few things from my fellow playwrights.
Big day - callbacks for a play tited Welcome to America and a teaching-artist gig. Crossing fingers.
Very excited that my play "Los Embrujados" will have a benefit readin on Feb. 22nd in Los Angeles. It's a young theatre company named Working Artist LAB. It's a benefit reading prior to a full production in the fall of both parts of By The Dawn's Early Light one acts.
Well another play has closed. I had a fun time doing "Don Pedro De La Cebolla". This play and the rehearsal process really helped me shake the funk of a previous production that didn't turn out to be the best of experiences. Now it's time to get back and do some serious heavy duty re-writing on a script of mine. It's interesting it's been tough getting back behind the desk to write. I think I'm mentally tired. I've been sort of going none stop with writing-acting-writing -acting since last February. But I got to suck it up and dive in. Much work still nees to be done and I'm the only one who can do it.
Just got a call letting me know that I'm a top ten finalist for the 2012 Northpoint Playwrighting Residency program in Tennessee. Also just got word that my play "Undertow" has just been selected to be part of the 2012 owntown Urban Theatre Festival. It's been a good day to sy the least.
Just got cast in "Don Pedro De La Cebolla" for Royal family Productions. I get to play a Spanish lawyer named Don Miguel San Isidoro.
double rehearsals for "Flight of The Ibis" reading and "Asylum" productions went well. It's always tough the first few days of rehearsals. You feel like you don't know anything. It's especially hard when you're juggling two plays at once, but I can't complain. I mean I'm working at my craft and meeting new colleagues. It's been a nice year, work wise. It seems that every month I've been involved in some kind of theatrical project whether it was plays that I had written that were being staged read, work-shopped or produced or acting in plays, readings and workshops. Money-wise, well that's a whole other story. I'm surviving which I guess puts me in te same boat as other Americans. Ah yes the theatre life for me.
I had a very productive audition for the film "The Wailing". Got to work with a good friend of mine who was reading for another role in the film. It was fun and made the audition process very relaxing.
